Scripture: Jeremiah 1
The Lord had a plan for Jeremiah. Even BEFORE he was formed in his mother’s womb the Lord knew him and had this plan for him.
The plan wasn’t easy! Jeremiah’s mission was a hard one. I’m sure he was afraid, but God comforts him:
“Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the LORD.” -vs.8
It’s the same for us. God has a plan for us, He knows us (always has), and He’s with us every step of the way.
This is an excerpt from a Charles Stanley devotional about God’s will I was just reading:
God’s determined (sovereign) will is what will absolutely be done … His inevitable, unchangeable, purposeful, and comprehensive plans which will bring Him great praise and glory. We must understand that God doesn’t make these types of plans exclusively for world events or nations. He also makes such plans for you and me (Ps. 139:16). In Ephesians 2:10, the Bible reveals that “we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” The Lord actively prepares each of us for certain assignments and gives us unique gifts with which to make an impact on this world for Him (1 Cor. 12:7).
The same God who was with Jeremiah is with us too. Let’s take comfort in His plan and courage in His power. He is sovereign!
Journal: The Lord knows you, so don’t be afraid to confess your fears to Him. Write them down and let Him comfort you and give you courage.
Also, write a prayer for unborn babies and their mothers. The Lord sees them and loves them. Pray that they have comfort and courage as well.
Move: Run. 3-5 miles is the goal today.
