Scripture: 1 John 1

I’m gonna turn this chapter upside down:
1. Confess our sins. If we say we haven’t sinned, we’re calling Jesus a liar. Harsh. (Vs. 9-10)
2. Be cleansed of our sins. If we say we have none, we’re lying to ourselves. Yikes. (Vs. 7-8)
3. Have fellowship with Him. If we say we do, but we’re living in darkness, we lie. Ouch. (Vs. 6)
Nobody likes to be called out, but this is a matter of life and death. Believe in Jesus, confess your sins, and live in the light. Eternity is on the line.
During our Christmas Eve service at church last month we were passing the candlelight from one wick to another around the room. Before it got to me I was struck with sadness for those who never hear the truth. As I was standing with my unlit candle I thought, “What if no one ever told me about Jesus? What if I had to live in darkness?” And my heart broke. I know I’ve missed chances to bring light to others, and I’m sorry. Let’s keep passing the light.
Call others out of darkness, and call them into the truth.
Journal: If you haven’t done it before, write out your testimony…the story of how you came to know Jesus. Your story is the ultimate tool in sharing Jesus with others.
Move: You can do this workout at home…it’s only 10 minutes:
