Scripture: Lamentations 5

A sad chapter, but at least it’s a prayer in the right direction. A prayer for mercy.
At first reading through this prayer I was thankful that we have it so cushy-comfy (comparatively), and are able to live in relative safety and peace. BUT when I got to this verse…
The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!
Vs. 16
…I remembered that even when circumstances seem okay on the surface there is still a spiritual battle being waged.
Don’t be blinded by the comforts of the world. Don’t think that just because you have job security, a roof over your head, and an iPhone to dial 911 that you’re safe.
Check your soul. Turn from sin. Give your life over to the Lord. Pray for mercy and be saved.
That’s the safety that matters.
Journal: Write your own prayer for restoration to the Lord.
Move: Hills or intervals today. Get out there and play with some speed!

Praise the Lord, and keep showing up.
