Scripture: Isaiah 12

And you will say in that day:

“Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.

“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭12:4-5‬

“That day” is THIS day.

No better day than Christmas Day to give thanks to the Lord, to make known His deeds and proclaim His name.

No better day than today to sing praises to the Lord!

He has done gloriously!

Scripture: Psalm 113

The verse in the picture is from the New Living Translation. The English Standard Version says:

3 From the rising of the sun to its setting,

the name of the LORD is to be praised!

Either way, no matter where we are or what time of day it is, we should praise the Lord!

“The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens! Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth? He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people. He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭113:4-9‬ ‭ESV

Journal: Write a prayer of praise to God…no matter where you are in life it’s always time for praise.

Scripture: Luke 12

A good face can only cover a wicked heart for so long.

The Pharisees put on a good show but Jesus warned that their truth would be revealed.

So it is with us.

How do we combat this hypocrisy in our own lives?

Fear God.

5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!

This is a healthy fear…not an anxious fear. We have no need for anxiety when we’re living in the fear of the Lord.

God provides for His own.

25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!

How much more will He do for us!

Journal: Write a prayer asking God to protect you from hypocrisy.
