Scripture: John 12

Hosanna: oh save!; an exclamation of adoration.

How many times this year have we needed to cry, “Oh save!”

For us to cry to Jesus for salvation is the greatest act of praise.

Sing “Hosanna!” to Him. He triumphs over all.

Journal: Write a prayer crying to Jesus to save…for yourself or for others.

Move: Run day. The simplest thing to do when times get rushed and days get busy is to run for time instead of distance. It makes it easier to plan your schedule around it. So set your watch and run 20 minutes. Done.

{Beginner’s run #7: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 4 minutes/walk 1 minute x5, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}

Praise the Lord, and keep showing up.

Scripture: John 15

Abide.

 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

Abide in His love…the greatest love.

He laid His life down for us.

Abide in that.

Journal: Write a prayer thanking God for His sacrificial love.

Move: Turkey run day!

{Beginner’s run #23: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 20 minutes, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}

Scripture: John 11

Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Jesus wanted Martha to believe in Him BEFORE she saw Lazarus resurrected from death.

Believing is seeing.

She still wasn’t sure but He was there to reassure her:

Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

John 11:40

He wants us to believe. He wants us to see.

He, of course, never doubted God’s power to raise the dead. (He is God Himself afterall.) But He prayed to His Father:

 “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Jesus came to raise us all to new life. Believe and see.

Journal: Write a prayer thanking God for new life in Him.
