Scripture: Exodus 3

You know the great thing about God?

He doesn’t have to explain Himself to anyone.

He is God. Period.

Yet He does want us to know Him. He does want a relationship with us. He wants good for us.

So even in the darkest days we can rest in His awesomeness. We can be assured that if we keep trusting in Him we will come through to the other side even better than we were before.

When God sent Moses to start the process of the exodus he sent him with hope:

21 And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty, 22 but each woman shall ask of her neighbor, and any woman who lives in her house, for silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing. You shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.”

God provides for His people. He provides physical needs and spiritual needs. He makes us stronger through adversity. He is the God of all circumstances.

Trust Him.

He is GOD.

Scripture: Acts 21:17-26:32

Paul was not backing down. He had been lead this far by the Spirit, and he was set to finish his course.  He wanted his message to be heard because he wanted others to know Christ and the power of the Spirit the way he did.

This is from a devotional by Elizabeth George, Relying on the Power of the Spirit:

Follow Paul’s example by being obedient to God. Obedience puts us in position for:

  • God’s presence.
  • God’s protection.
  • God’s placement.

Do things God’s way and let the message of Christ be made known.

Journal: Write a prayer thanking God for His Spirit and that you can rely on Him. Pray that you’ll always be obedient.

Move: Run 3 miles at a pace you’d like to run a 10k race. Try not to walk.

{Beginner’s run #14: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 6 minute/walk 1 minute x3, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}

Praise the Lord, and keep showing up!

Scripture: Philippians 3

14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

It’s EASY to lose sight of the goal. It’s easy to get caught up in the problems and debates of this world. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the difficulties and lose hope for the future.

But we MUST keep our eyes on Christ. We must remember this world is not our home. We must stay aware of the enemy trying to bring us down.

20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

All things are subject to Christ. He is our goal. Our home is with Him.

Journal: Write a prayer asking God to help you not lose focus. He wants to help you attain the prize.
