Prayer: read/ listen to more on Acts 22:22

Oh God, please provide for, protect, strengthen, uphold, and embolden our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. God, please give them grace to trust in you. Please give them wisdom to know how best to proclaim the gospel. And please give them boldness to proclaim the gospel. God, we pray Acts Four over them. Consider the threats against them and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness, we pray.

And then God as we pray for them, we pray for us who live like … I just think, God, I live in like the freest country in the history of the world in many ways. So help me to be all the more bold. Help us who live in freedom to be all the more bold. Not to be silent with the gospel when those who are speaking about it are doing so at the risk of their life around the world. Our family, our brothers and sisters. Help us to be faithful, to speak the gospel to those around us today. Oh God, not to be afraid of what they might think of us, or they might think we’re the crazy religious person, or we might mess up in this or that and they won’t understand what we’re saying.

God, help us to trust in you. Your Spirit in us, the power of the gospel, and to fully steward the freedom you’ve given us to share the gospel with other people today. God, please may it be so for your glory in free places in the world and for your glory in persecuted places in the world. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Acts 21

Prayer:

So God, we pray help us. Help us we pray, to obey you even when it’s costly. God, I don’t even know the full identification of what that means in my own life, certainly not for other people’s lives who are listening to this, but God we pray for a trust in you like we see in Paul in Acts 21, a willingness to walk, to go wherever you lead, to do whatever you call us to do, a confidence in your provision, even when we know it will be hard. Lord, we pray for strength and courage in every one of our lives to obey you today and however you lead us in the days to come for the spread of your gospel and the glory of your name.

Help us, we pray. Please help me, help us not to shrink back when things get hard, not to be silent and not to walk away. To disobey you and your leadership in our lives. Help us to follow you even when we know it’s costly. In the process to trust that you will show yourself faithful and strong and good on our behalf. Just as you did for Paul as he walked into imprisonment.

I pray these things with humility. A sober mind in not knowing what this means for our lives, but knowing that you will be faithful. We pray these things in Jesus name. Amen.

Acts 20

Read the Scripture here.

Listen to the Bible Recap here.

Key verse:

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.

Acts 20:28

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of God which is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. May we individually and collectively be on our spiritual guard, not only for our own well-being but also for those that You have seen fit to place in our lives. Give grace and wisdom to all who are called to be elders or overseers in local churches today, and protect all believers who have fallen prey to false teachers or who have been exposed to doctrines of demons. Protect the hearts and minds of all Your children, and guide each one of us into the way of truth. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
