Scripture: Proverbs 18

It’s tempting when we read the Proverbs to think of someone else who fits those descriptions. We all know someone who isolates themselves or someone who loves expressing their own opinion. We can look around and see people being partial to the wicked and depriving justice where it’s due. We know whisperers, and fools, and prideful rich people. But what are we???
You don’t have to change your behavior or your attitudes in your own strength. You don’t have to defend yourself alone against the temptations of the world. You can run to the Lord! He wants to change you in His power! He wants to protect you by His Spirit! Run to God. Run to the only true source of fulfillment and safety and comfort.
Journal: Write a prayer to the Lord asking Him to reveal any dark spots on your life. Run to Him in prayer.
Move: Run 1, 3, 5, or 7 miles. Walk when you need to.
{Beginner’s run #14: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 6 minute/walk 1 minute x3, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}
Praise the Lord, and just show up.
