Scripture: John 6

Jesus satisfies the soul.

It’s not something that can be understood by the mind alone. As Jesus was talking to those following him He talked about His flesh being the bread of life:

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.

Vs.51

This was hard for them to understand and many were offended. He explained that their flesh hinders them:

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

Vs.63

Jesus lost followers that day, but not His main twelve (Judas was still lying in wait), and He asked them if they wanted to leave too. I like Simon Peter’s answer:

Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.

Vs.68-69

True belief brings true commitment.

The soul is satisfied in Jesus and every other option pales in comparison.

***I wrote this post before church on Sunday, and then went to church and heard a great sermon that related well. Listen here.***

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:14

Journal: Write a prayer and thank God for satisfying your soul. If you still don’t have that understanding, pray for it!

Move: YouTube Wind Warrior Workout. (It was really windy the day I filmed.)

Praise the Lord, and keep showing up.
