Scripture: Mark 6
Jesus was rejected in his hometown.
6 And he marveled because of their unbelief.
He healed a few folks and then left.
How sad that they missed such a blessing born right in their midst!
He told the disciples to go out and tell people to repent. If they faced similar rejection he told them to:
shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.
Vs.11
They did their work. They did it right. If people didn’t like it they moved along to the next door or the next town.
Not everyone will accept truth.
That’s a hard truth to accept.
After He miraculously feeds five thousand people he sends the disciples out on a boat.
The wind was against them.
48 And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them.
He saw them. He came to them. And even after all they’d experienced they were still terrified.
Jesus doesn’t chastise. He’s so patient and compassionate.

Let us be like Jesus. Let us present the gospel, move on if rejected, take note when we see others fighting the wind, and show compassion. Show Jesus.
