Scripture: Jonah 3 and 4 (the rest of the book)

Jonah finally obeyed the Lord. He went to Nineveh and called the people repent.
They listened and repented, and the Lord did just what Jonah knew He would do:
10 When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.
Jonah 3:10
And then Jonah pouted. He didn’t think the people of Nineveh deserved forgiveness.
Even though God forgave them, Jonah held on to bitterness.
Bitterness is like the worm that God sent to eat Jonah’s shade tree…it will eat you from the inside out.
Partner with God in sharing the news of His available forgiveness, and then follow God in forgiveness of others.
Don’t be eaten with bitterness.
Journal: Write a prayer asking God to reveal any unforgiveness in your heart and then ask Him to help you truly forgive as you’ve been forgiven.
