Scripture: Acts 18:24-28

Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, competent in the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord. And being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. And when he wished to cross to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed, for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the Scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.

Acts 18:24-28

Apollos was teaching what he knew. He was eloquent and competent in the Scriptures. He had been instructed well. He was fervent in spirit and spoke accurately, but he was missing some information.

Priscilla and Aquila kindly told him the rest of the story. Then off he went! He was able to continue helping the believers by refuting the unbelieving Jews.

Take your knowledge of God and share it with others. Help other people understand His word better. If you need help understanding find someone who is wise and well-instructed, someone who loves the Lord above all, and ask them for help. No one knows all the answers, but God’s word does give us what we need to know.

Rely on the Spirit, be thankful for His grace, believe His word, and share it.

Journal: Write a prayer and ask God to teach you through His Word and to send people into your life to teach you and some that you may teach. Thank Him for those who have helped you understand scripture.

Move: Let’s run hills again! Go to that same hill as last week (a hill that will take you about 1 minute to climb) and run up it 5 times this week! Walk down each time to recover.

{Beginner’s run #8: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 4 minute/walk 1 minute x4, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}

Praise the Lord, and just show up!

  1. God Will provide what’s needed for those that want to do His Will. This reminded me of the story of the Ethiopian Eunuc, when Philip was sent to meet him and explain to him what he was reading. I loved this! πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ»
