Scripture: 1 Samuel 3

Samuel was ministering to the Lord (vs. 1).
But Samuel didn’t know the Lord yet (vs. 7).
So when the Lord came calling Samuel didn’t recognize His voice.
With a little guidance from Eli, Samuel waited for that third call and then answered correctly:
“Speak, for your servant hears.”
1 Samuel 3:10
The Lord began a relationship with Samuel that day:
19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.
And the Lord worked out the plan He had for Samuel:
20 And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established as a prophet of the LORD.
The Lord can do the same for us. He calls us, and He has a purpose for us; all we have to do is listen for His voice and respond.
Journal: Write a prayer that mimics Samuel’s response to the Lord: “Speak, for your servant hears.” He may not answer you the way he did Samuel, but you can open His word and do what it says…You can’t go wrong!
Move: Run…or bike! Find something that makes you excited (or not dreadful) to workout!
{Beginner’s run #7: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 4 minute/walk 1 minute x5, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}
Praise the Lord, and just show up!
