Scripture: James 2

Comparison is a killer these days.
It kills your mood. It kills your joy. It kills your friendships. It kills your fellowship. It kills your witness to others. It kills your love for others.
And it goes both ways…
If we compare ourselves to others we may win some and we may lose some. It’s important to see ourselves and others through God’s eyes.
We’re all sinners, and the Lord loves us all…the poor, the rich, the ugly, the cute. We’re all guilty (James 2:10), but He died for us all.
The best way to defeat the killer of comparison is to show mercy and love without prejudice.
Mercy triumphs…love always wins.
Journal: Write a prayer asking God to help you see people how He sees them…including yourself! And then look for ways to show mercy to others today.
Move: It’s time for a long run! Set aside an hour (or more) and run or run/walk at an easy pace.
{Beginner’s run #15: warm-up with a 5-minute walk, then run 7 minutes/walk 1 minute x3, then cool-down with a 5-minute walk.}
Praise the Lord, and just show up!
