Scripture: Ruth 1

This part of Ruth’s story is about more than dedication or commitment, it’s about a new identity.
She was more than just Ruth the Moabite, Naomi’s daughter-in-law, she put her whole identity into Naomi’s people and Naomi’s God. She didn’t go back to her old life, she chose to walk a new path.
That’s how my true journey with Jesus began back in the seventh grade. I had to make a decision…keep walking the goofy, self-serving, lonely road with my peers, or put my whole self into Jesus and His purpose. Thankfully I found my identity in Jesus at that time. I became a new person.
Journal: Write a prayer of thanksgiving for your identity in Christ.
Write prayers for your children if you have them. Pray they’ll choose to follow Him too, and that they’ll have spouses and family that do the same.
