Daily Dig: 1/12/21

Scripture: Mark 1

Mark covers a lot of ground in his first chapter. He quotes from Isaiah, who introduces John the Baptist, who proclaims the coming of Jesus, and then BAM! Jesus is on scene and on a mission.

John had told them to “prepare the road” and “clear the way” for a good reason…Jesus had work to do!

Make sure you’re keeping the way clear for Jesus to continue doing His work through you.

Jesus wants you to follow His way. Don’t let anything hold you back or trip you up. Don’t let worries of the world and a constant need for busyness clutter your heart and mind and make you ineffective as a fisher of men.

Prepare the way for the gospel today.

Journal: Write a prayer dedicating your time and energy to the Lord today.

Move: If you ran yesterday, then take a rest today.

If you’ve missed a workout (or two, or three) then go back and make up a workout from earlier in the week. You don’t have to quit just because you missed a day…consistency takes practice.

From yesterday: {Beginner’s run #6: warm-up with a 5- minute walk, then run 4 minutes/walk 1 minute x4, then cool-down with a 5- minute walk.}

Give yourself and those around you an extra dose of grace today.

Praise the Lord and keep showing up!
