Scripture: Isaiah 1

If you read through Isaiah chapter one quickly, it all seems to be doom and despair. However, there’s this one little verse right in the middle. If you blink you miss it… and you don’t want to miss it.
Hope.
Israel was on the wrong path. They were going away from God. He didn’t like it, and He was telling them all about it. BUT He loves them so much, He is so merciful, and He has a plan for them.
Glimpses of Jesus are throughout the Old Testament. Pointing toward the hope of His salvation, and this is one of them.
That’s what Israel had to look forward to, and that’s what we can look back on. We can all rely on the perfect sacrifice of Jesus to wash us from our sins, to make us white as snow, and to give us hope for today and always.
Journal: Thank the Lord for glimpses of hope. Think of people in your life who need hope. Write their names down and pray for them. Think of ways you can share these glimpses with them.
Move: Let’s run! Go out for a long run. Dont worry about the pace; start so slow that you feel like you’ll never get tired. Go a little farther than you have been running up to this point.
{Beginner’s run #6: warm-up with a 5- minute walk, then run 4 minutes/walk 1 minute x4, then cool-down with a 5- minute walk.}
Look for hope.
Praise the Lord, and keep showing up!
