Scripture: Exodus 1-2

By the end of the of Genesis Joseph had risen to fame in Egypt, but time passed and a new pharaoh came along who didn’t know Joseph… and he didn’t know Joseph’s people, Israel.
The pharaoh thought he could get rid of them, but he also didn’t know Joseph’s God.
God had other plans. He brought Moses out of this dark time, but Israel was still under hardship. Then the Bible tells us that God heard them, He saw them, and He knew.
He hears us, and He sees us, and He knows us and our sufferings as well. It’s okay to groan to Him. Groan, but trust. Trust Him and rest in Him.
“For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:24-28
Journal: Look at the bigger picture and groan to God for a minute. Write out a prayer for your family, your town, your country, your church/the whole church. Take note of the evil things happening around us and ask God to deliver us from those things…to bring up leaders like Moses among us. And then thank Him for what He’s going to do.
