Scripture: Matthew 1

I know we just wrapped up the Christmas season and you probably heard the story of Jesus’ birth over and over again, but does it ever really get old???
As we get further into the new year it’s easy to get lost in the daily grind, lose focus, lose purpose, and flounder.
It’s like reading the first verses of Matthew 1…just a list of names, blah blah, blah…but then you see where they lead… they lead to Jesus… they lead to you and me being saved from our sins.
So remember that God sees you when you get bogged down in your to-do list (or in everyone else’s to-do lists). He sees you, and He wants you to be part of His story. He wants that happy ending for you and for the whole world.
Journal: Write a new to-do list. Write down your schedule for next week and be sure to include time to read your Bible, time to read the Bible with your spouse or your children, time to pray, time to think. Time to slow down.
Move: Try an easy 3 miles today.
{Beginner’s run #3: warm-up with a 5- minute walk, then run 3 minutes/walk 1 minute x4, then cool-down with a 5- minute walk.}
Be a part of a bigger story.
Praise the Lord, and just keep showing up!
Been going back & forth on rest today or tomorrow as I’ve been a bit carried away with the New Year fitness resolution that you put up, and I’m aching EVERYWHERE… well, sort of everywhere! 🙈🤪 Needless to say, I’m excited! ❤️🤗
