Daily Dig: 1/2/21

Scripture: Psalm 1; Galatians 5

Do you want to have a prosperous new year? I know I do! Psalm 1 tells us how to get it…

Meditate on the law of the Lord.

Is that going to make me rich, beautiful, and loved by all???

Maybe not.

But I want to bear the fruit that lasts: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Proper prosper.

Journal: Write down things in your life that are hindering you from bearing fruits, such as love and joy. Humbly pray over the list and ask the Lord to convict you of sins that you’re hanging on to that could be part of the problem. Then commit to continuing to spend time in His word.

Move: INTERVAL RUN…let’s do a Fartlek (that means “speed play” in Swedish):

It’s simple. Start an easy run (or just walk if you’re not ready to run yet), and then pick a point (a mailbox, lightpost, crack in the sidewalk) and pick up the pace til you reach it, slow back down to recover, and then repeat for as long as you desire.

{Beginner’s run #2: walk for 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 2 minutes/walk 1 minute x6, walk 5 minutes to cool-down.} ***I will continue to post this run plan but it will not be everyday. The next one is on the 4th and after that the 8th…just keep moving.***

Dig in, dig deep.

Praise the Lord, and just keep showing up!
