Daily Dig: 12/31/20

Scripture: Psalm 119:137-144

“Righteous are you, O Lord, and right are your rules. You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness. My zeal consumes me, because my foes forget your words. Your promise is well tried, and your servant loves it. I am small and despised, yet I do not forget your precepts. Your righteousness is righteous forever, and your law is true.”

What a year.

Praise the Lord! He knew how badly I would need this foundation of daily digging in His word. He has dug deep in my soul and planted roots there that are unshakeable. They hold firm by the power of His Spirit and the gift of His grace. I’m so thankful to Him.

I pray that these scriptures and pictures and devotions and prayers (and workouts too!) have been a blessing in your life. Thank you for digging along with me all year.

Let’s keep pushing back the dark…

(That’s my motto for 2021.)

Journal: Write a prayer of thanks to God that even though this year held trouble and anguish we were held tight by His mighty hand.

Move: Last run of the year. Make it count.

{Beginner’s run #20: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 8 minute/walk 1 minute x3, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}

Praise the Lord, and keep showing up.

  1. “I am small and despised, yet I do not forget your precepts. Your righteousness is righteous forever, and your law is true.” How much this resonates this morning. I can’t believe it’s been a year, Katie I remember back in December you said you’ll write every day for January and here you are, you’ve been doing it for a whole year! 🙌🏻❤️🎉🎉 Your posts have been a great blessing to me, I am sure others have been blessed by them, as well. 2020 has been a very hard year for many, I hope we’ll ALL come out of it wiser, kinder and more loving towards others and more grounded in faith. Praying God will use all these trials for His glory and the benefit of his church. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
