Scripture: Mark 10

Wouldn’t the world be a different place if everyone lived to serve others?!
I asked one of my children to take out the trash yesterday and he said, “But I don’t want to; it doesn’t make me happy.”
I, in sarcastic mom fashion, said, “Oh! I didn’t realize we were all here to make each other happy!”
He got it…if we’re all trying to do what makes us personally happy then someone nearby is going to be made unhappy.
We can’t all have the best seats or the highest rank, and that’s not what we should be striving for as followers of Christ. Let’s flip the script like Jesus did.
43 But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all.
Journal: Write a prayer to God humbling yourself before Him.
Move: 5k day! Anywhere, anytime. Go give me your best 3.2 miles.
Praise the Lord, and keep showing up!
Right!!!! In this life we will have tribulations. God’s goal is not our temporary happiness, but our hearts, and from what I’ve seen in my life and throughout the Scripture, that comes through most of the time through suffering and God putting us in situations that are very hard, that we almost hate to do. I asked myself over and over Why? Because He is teaching us thankfulness, and to be happy and content in Him. That’s the kind of Happy He’s after. Great Post, Katie! ❤️❤️
