Scripture: John 9

The person and name of Jesus have always caused controversy. And the salvation experience isn’t something that’s always easily explained. It’s so personal and so totally based on faith from the heart that it’s not necessarily a tangible “thing” you can point to or describe. But for those who have experienced Jesus’ life-changing power the blind man’s experience is very relatable.

One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.

And the questioning between Jesus and the man who had been blind is a good example of the true simplicity of salvation:

“Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” 37 Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” 38 He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

Believe and see.
