Daily Dig: 8/12/20

Scripture: Psalm 37

The Hebrew word for delight also has the meaning “to be soft or pliable”.

To delight in the Lord, you line yourself up with His plan and His word. If you delight in the Lord, His desires become your desires.

When you delight in the Lord, your heart is “soft and pliable” in His hand. You allow Him to shape your life, and you trust Him with the outcome.

5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

Journal: Write a prayer to the Lord and ask Him to keep your heart soft and pliable in His hand.
