Scripture: 1 Samuel 7
The people of Israel were returning to the Lord:
3 And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your heart to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”
And the Lord did deliver them from the Philistines…
But the LORD thundered with a mighty sound that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were defeated before Israel.
Vs.10
So Samuel took a stone and set it up as a remembrance and said:

We should do the same. We should return to the Lord, put away the idols of our hearts, pray to Him, and then when He helps us we should write it down, tell someone, “set up a stone” so that we don’t forget what He’s done.
Journal: Write down some of the ways God has helped you…either distant or recent past, or what He’s doing today.
