Scripture: 1 Chronicles 17

David wanted to build a house for the Lord. It seemed like a good idea, and he seemed to have the right motivation to do so, but the Lord said no anyway.
David didn’t force the issue. He accepted the word of the Lord and was thankful for what the Lord would do instead.
When God revealed His future plans to David through the prophet Nathan, David “found courage to pray” (vs.25). We have the Lord’s revealed word available to us all the time in the Bible.
His perfect plan is laid out before us. We may not know every detail but we can trust in the goodness of God.
Read God’s word, know it, pray it, and hold it close to your heart! Let it continue to give you courage to pray.
