Scripture: Deuteronomy 5
We serve a covenant keeping God.
He made a covenant with Israel. He’s going to keep it.
He made a covenant with us through Jesus Christ. He’s going to keep it.
He wants good for us. Like a loving Father He gives guidance and parameters.
It’s so easy to complicate things like the Pharisees did…adding and adding to these ten basic commandments and to the details of the Law given by God, but it comes down to love.
God loves us. He wants us to love Him back and to love others.
He wants life for us. Life in Him.
Journal: Write a prayer for the nation of Israel and for the church as a whole.
Move: Sunday Run-day? Sunday Fun-day? Sunday Rest-day? That doesn’t rhyme, but it’s your choice.
