Scripture: Galatians 5
Jesus Christ is all about faith and love.
It seems so simple yet our vision is often clouded, and our path often cluttered, so that before we know it we’re down either a path of working for our salvation or living for our flesh.
You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion is not from him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
Galatians 5:7-9
Don’t you wish there was always someone else to blame when you lose focus? However, most often the only person to blame is ourselves. We open the door to peek out at temptations, or we let the lies of Satan saying our faith isn’t enough seep in through the cracks.
Jesus Christ is all about freedom from this torment!
This freedom is ours to glorify God with our lives, with our work, with our love for one another. It’s not to be twisted into a license for our flesh to take the wheel.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” That takes care of all the work we need to do. And we don’t even have to do that in our strength. We have the Spirit.
Faith in Jesus and walking in the Spirit is the key to our freedom:

Find freedom.
Journal: Write a prayer that you will walk in the Spirit. If you don’t really understand what that means, ask the Lord for wisdom and resources.
Move: Long run day. It doesn’t matter what your long run looks like. It could be 2 miles, it could be 22. Just spend some time with your feet on the ground.
{Beginner’s run #9: Walk 5 minutes to warm-up, then run 5 minutes/walk 1 minute x4, then walk 5 minutes to cool-down.}
Praise the Lord, and just show up.
