Scripture: Genesis 4

It’s hard to understand why the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering but not for Cain and his.
It’s probably because the Lord could see the heart behind what was offered.
He sees our hearts.
He also knows that our hearts can be easily swayed toward sin. He warned Cain.
He warns us.
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
