Two things I try to get done everyday:
- Spend time in the Word and in prayer.
- Get in a workout of some sort.
Seems easy enough but there are a lot of days when I get swept away with other busy-ness, and the day rushes by without a quiet moment or a purposeful movement.
I know I’m not alone, and I wanted to do something to help, so without further ado, I present:
“The Daily Dig”
Following you’ll see a couple of screenshots of a blog I’ve already written and is scheduled to be published in the new year.
They will begin with 1/1/20 and (Lord willing) be published everday. (I hope to stay ahead of the game.)
These posts will include:
- A link to a scripture passage
- A scripture image
- A short thought
- A journal idea
- And a workout idea for the day.
I want this to be a one-click (ok, two-click if you pull up the scripture) stop to help you dig deeper into the Word and into a healthy lifestyle of movement.
The scriptures are usually a chapter’s length with the thought and journal idea encouraging you to actually take a minute and digest what you’ve read.
The workouts include a beginner’s run plan as well as weight room and more intense workout ideas. (Tabatas anyone???) I hope they’ll be able to get you started or push you farther.
Take a sneak peek:

And that’s it! Short and sweat…uh, I mean sweet. 😉
Scroll down to the very bottom, enter your email, and click “follow”. The post will come to your email everyday and you can unsubscribe at any time…I’ll only cry a little.
Praise the Lord, and just show up!
Oh, and share with your friends…pretty please.
